‘Everyday greatness’ is a book written by David K Hatch. Occasionally the world witnesses heroic feats, discoveries or accomplishments that move society forward. But there is another type of greatness that tends to be more quiet and generally escape headlines. It is called everyday greatness. It has to do with character and contribution. It is a way of living and not a onetime event.
Silver Hills Higher Secondary School is for everyday greatness. The school is committed to sustaining a supportive and inclusive environment where every child is met where s/he is, encouraged to unearth and elicit the personal best from everyone in all aspects of school life. The commitment is the cumulative output of a wide range of learning opportunities which motivate children to develop creativity, confidence and resilience to become self-reliant life-long learners with strong roots in ethics, spirituality and social consciousness. The journey continues to co-create excellence in academics, creativity, social outreach, cultural performances, sporting events, community endeavours and several other areas in the spectrum of schooling. The Silver Hills years are designed to help every child grow with the skills and right attitude to work in teams, communicate, create, problem-solve, safeguard positive emotions across school, home and society as also innovate. Silver Hills values relationships and connections with the community and encourages every learner to develop respectful relationships with their peers, teachers and the broader community. The school works hard to develop and sustain productive partnerships and connections with parents, and all learner-enabling channels. Every child is offered equal opportunity to think independently, retain information and more importantly to learn how to learn, ask questions and develop an increasing sense of competence. Our credo is to love the children as they are and not, as we wish they were. While reaching out, they may fall and get up again, but in the process they gain a higher sense of competence and self-reliance. More than just stickers, point and grades, Silver Hills is mandated to ensure, every child remains curious and hungry for higher echelons of excellence.
Our mission is also to self-empower all learners who graduate from the campus, with the skills, mindsets and qualities that will best equip them for partnering an environmentally robust earth with an inclusive design for universal justice, empathy and passion for ethically sound achievements. It is a tellingly rewarding experience to mould hundreds of creative, imaginative, disciplined, humble, resilient and intelligent youngsters who are the future flag bearers and role models of our nation.
It would be a privilege and honour to walk you through this website cuisine which is in fine, a web of legacy we unpack and recreate to meet the emerging climes. Let me thank God almighty and all of you who care for and nurture the emotion named Silver Hills.
With regards
